We just have to appreciate what the vultures do for us. This particular sequence took place in a neighbor’s front yard. Very unfortunate for the raccoon, his decision to attempt crossing the road failed. His demise turned out to be the Black Vulture’s breakfast. I know the neighbor favored the vulture cleaning up the roadside mess. The following day there was no evidence at all of the raccoon, all gone. The Chipping Sparrow visited me while I was out on my deck drinking my morning coffee. There were a couple of them bouncing about in the tree. That same morning, only a few moments later I had another visitor. A Red-bellied Woodpecker, a bit skittish, but I did get a couple photos.

okay, take your post title and add "walk into a bar" at the end and you've got a great beginning to a joke. :)
LOVE the red-belly's headdress! too cute!
When we first moved to the country I really hated the vultures, but realized that they are needed and as my husband reminded me (he grew up on a farm) they have to eat too...
But I prefer to look up, because I really enjoy the birds, especially the woodpeckers!
I hope you're having a good weekend!!
T... You got my joke. It was the best I could do. :>)
