Bucks-n-Does

I have some catching up to do. Posting has eluded me for a few months. Here you will see a series of Whitetail Deer. Most of these photos were shot during the rut this past fall. The most significant one is of the large double Down-tine Whitetail. I photographed him last year as a single down-tine, he survived the hunting season and I had the fortunate experience of catching him again this year.
A nice 8 point filling his nostrils with the scent of the seasonal rut...

He has me pegged...

Cold Weather Feathers

The first photo is of an area near by that has given me presentations in a multitude of different ways. This day the snow was beginning to cover the landscape. Before the snow, some Canadian Geese visited a local pond. Not to far away there was a group of Wild Turkeys scratching up their breakfast. The front five were all  toms with their beards nearly touching the ground. What would winter be without the Northern Cardinal.
