Whitetails and a Praying Mantis...

I turn left out of my driveway and travel less than half a mile and see a nice Whitetail buck. He and I watch each other for a couple of minutes. He allows a few photos before he disappears across a small creek. At another location a doe and her fawn catch my drift. Another group of doe enjoy fresh eats. Then I came across a Praying Mantis. He/she was very cooperative and allowed several photos.

Terrific whitetail images! They really are so very beautiful. I especially like the forth image of the deer in the knee-high tall grass. Super close-up mantis photographs, too!

There's just something so intriguing about a praying mantis, and I enjoy seeing them, but have to admit they are a bit creepy at the same time...

Thank you Sam, he was very cooperative.

Thank you Kim, this one was like a statue, he rarely moved. A slow day I guess.
