Wild Art...

This is a bit “off track” for me. As I was going through the countryside I was stopped at a railroad crossing. I’m in the truck watching the train cars go by; I notice nearly all of them had some manner of graffiti them. So I decided to photograph some of them. No feathers or fur here. Well, just a little bit of fur. I scared some deer out of the front yard of one of the locals shortly after I crossed the tracks.

Lights flashin' yard arm down and rumblin' wheels...

Around the corner and gone...

They were all fine until I stopped the truck... Sheesh...

Interesting post Larry!! I've noticed the graffiti on the trains too, and some of it is so artistic and I have the thought each time I see it that it's telling some kind of a story--Or is it just me that thinks that?

I believe you may be right Kim. Most artists are trying to tell the viewer something.

Love the deer pic. I think the graffiti makes watching the train go by entertaining. You try to figure out what it says. Some you can read, some you can't.

HI Larry..
You know it is a shame that such great talent doesn't always seem to be put to good use, but it does make for good entertainment.. : }}
We have very few running tracks left here in Maine ...nice to see then!!
To see a Buck in daylight around here would be pretty unusual...love those white flags when they take off!!

It amazes me how really good some of the graffiti artists can be. Too bad they don't use their talent for something besides train cars.

I've seen some interesting and artistic graffiti on the trains that ramble through Chicago. It's too bad these people do not apply their talent in a more productive way. Love the beautiful deer!
