You can’t go to the beach with out seeing seagulls. Sometimes you can’t seem to get rid of them. In some places they can be an irritation. Here, in the early morning, they were waking up from their sandy perch. Some didn’t seem to care much about me being there. They soon began their morning routine, searching the sands of the beach for something to eat. A very common bird in the area, but to a fellow like me who doesn’t get to the beach often, they are a treat. So… Here are some seagulls.

I can almost smell the sea and hear the waves...
You have some gorgeous shots there! Just beautiful.
TWG, Thank you. I like that one too.
Steve, I should have a sea shore audio that starts when the page is opened.
Thank you Lois :)
I feel like I'm at the beach!! I used to think that seagulls were all the same, and then when we lived in Alaska, I started to enjoy spotting the different varieties. Your post reminds me of that. THANKS--I'd not thought of that in awhile!
Thanks Kim, glad I could transport you for a few moments.
I grew up on the beach and it seemed odd not to hear them calling after we moved to the mountains. The sailors at home call them GU-11 unmanned aerial vehicles. Other folks call them flying rats. At the end of the day it son't matter what you call them, they won't come unless you're willing to feed them. The tourists love to stand on their hotel balconies and toss bread or popcorn to them and then they act surprised when 50 of 'em show up and start dropping "bombs".
Nice reflections of birds and waves. Shutting your eyes you can hear the seagulls screaming and the sound from the waves.
HI Larry ...love the beach and the gulls!!
Nice to see some just be normal...by that I mean not stealing your food at the beach!!
I saw one take a sandwich right of a ladies chair while she was getting a drink form the cooler! lol to funny!!!
Not real touristy here but I know what you are talking about. I have seen what you speak of in OC
Maryland.
Thank you Kjell.
Thanks Grammie, I think there are many stories like that one. Some of those gulls are known to be bold.
