I was surprised by a Bald Eagle taking a perch a hundred yards or more from me several days ago. I always love seeing and photographing eagles. This day however gave me no sunny side opportunities. All my photos were eagle silhouettes. The little Brown Creeper finally stopped for a moment long enough for a couple clicks. The Canadian Geese lifted up and out of a pond and settled again a short distance away. The Downy Woodpecker was bouncing up and down and all about searching for a meal. The Fox Squirrel found himself a walnut. One of the cool mornings I was out, a sheet of thin ice decorated a local pond. A group of Starlings scratching for a few morsels.
