I don't think I have a favorite bird, but... Ospreys are definitely high on my list. Here you will see an adult osprey standing over her/his fledgeling. The youngster was facing into the wind and stretching out its wings hoping soon to be lifted up and out over the waters. When it turned back and faced it's parent the feeding began. There were times when the adult would hold on to the morsel of food and made sure the youngster tugged and pulled hard in order for it to get its food. Preparation for the real meals forthcoming I'm sure.

Great shots Larry.
I've never seen an Osprey, but my co-worker who has a home on the Maryland shore loves them too. They really are amazing to watch--so I've been told! :-)
Nice lighting and good photos. Nothing better than a family interaction series to capture viewer interest.
