Bucks Does and Fawns, Brown Headed Cowbirds, Cooper's Hawk and Grey Squirrels, and a Great Crested Flycatcher

A pair of Brown Headed Cowbirds gave me some photo ops. I saw a Cooper's  Hawk  fly through the woods and land on a branch. Not much of a shot but it was all I could get. A couple of Grey Squirrels entertained me for a few moments. My first time seeing and photographing a Great Crested Flycatcher.  A Thistle, Bee and Butterfly, can't help it, took a photo. It's the time of year when your chances of seeing young spotted Whitetail Fawns are more probable. I have seen a few so far this year. I believe the Fawn by itself was dashing across the field to locate its mother. The following photos indicate it was successful.

This little fellow was dashing across the field all by itself... He entered the woods to my right so I dashed over and looked down the hillside and saw the doe leading it away.

A Red Fox Kit, Some Bees, A Fox Squirrel and a Piebald Whitetail

I got pretty lucky the other day. A young Fox kit bounced out of the tall grass and gave me a few moments where I was able to get a few photos.  As I walked past an area of flowering water plants I noticed they were very Bee friendly. Another water lily was host to a couple of insects. Then a Fox Squirrel stops by, not so sure at first but soon was comfortable enough to give me a couple shots. A rare sighting of a Piebald Whitetail Deer was a welcome surprise. Piebald deer (partially white) are from a recessive genetic trait and the deer usually become more prevalent due to overpopulation of a deer herd. Shortly after seeing the piebald deer a young Whitetail Buck, came surprisingly close. Notice the antler growth is in velvet.

A Canadian Goose Family, some Water Lilies, Mosquito and a Muskrat

Whew... Been away for awhile. Here you will see a Canadian Goose family, the two adults cautiously leading their youngsters away from the threat. A couple of Lily Pads and Lilies. A Mosquito and a Muskrat. Then I thought I would leave you with a photo of a view I see on one of my regular walks.  

A family of Canadian Geese have been alerted and follow mom as she leads them away...
